Yes, this bed does come in two very different dimensions. The mattress can really differ by as much as 8 inches. That can really make a huge difference in selecting just the right comforter for your bed. So when you shop you want to make sure you get the correct dimensions.

The Two Types of This Bed

You will find this bed comes in what is called Standard or Regular and California. Because of the two types you will find this type of bedding comes in those two dimensions. Before you purchase bedding for this bed you need to make sure you know which type you have. If you don’t know then you should take a tape measure and measure the length and height and width before you start shopping for bedding for it.

The standard bed in this type will measure 78 by 80 inches and the California one will measure 72 by 84 inches. The California is not as wide but it is longer than the standard ones.

You will also want to keep in mind that older types of this bed will have much lower mattresses. The newer models however will be much higher. So when shopping for a comforter for this bed you want to make sure that there can be a total difference of 16 inches that you need in the width of a comforter, and as much as 8 inches in length.
